LITERARY CLOWN FOOLERY!

Literary Clown Foolery: A Satirical Cabaret happening at the Book Smith the second Friday of every month.  Each month, San Francisco's finest clowns come together to showcase their work of wit, creativity and laughs! A local author's work is featured, as the clowns bring a fresh new perspective to San Francisco's literary scene!

Every Second Friday at the Book Smith, 1644 Haigh St. 8pm. $10.

This month at Literary Clown Foolery, the performers will explore Armistead Maupin’s Mary Ann in Autumn! This amazing San Francisco novel includes a slew of colorful people and places, including the San Francisco Circus Center!  And, the character Otto himself is a clown! Mr. Maupin drew inspiration from his friendship with the host of the evening, Polina Smith, and his visits to the Circus Center.  Come see what Mr. Maupin himself was inspired by and watch a great show that will include music, juggling, an interview with Polina, hilarious satire, and a 6-foot talk unicycle!
